Samuel completed his M.Sc.F. under Dr. Martell in September of 2019, studying the forest fire initial attack system in Ontario. He worked as both a fire crew leader and fire technician for Ontario before moving to the Canadian Forest Service as a fire research officer in early 2020. Since then, he has been focused on national scale projects in fuel mapping and predictive services. In Sam’s current role, his research interests are primarily focused on predictive tools and services to support Canadian fire management agencies.
